    The International Mobile Telecommunications - 2000(IMT-2000), 3G, or 3rd Generation, is a group of mobile telecommunication standards by the International Telecommunication Union(ITU) along with other standards such as WiMAX.

    Services in 3G allows the simultaneous use of voice and data services, and with a higher date rates of up to 14 Mbit/s - downlink and 5.8 Mbit/s uplink.

    ITU defines 3G in mobile telephony standard as to facilitate growth, increased in bandwidth, and to support more diverse applications.
