SRI International is giving a free tool, BotHunter, which can help organizations to battle botnets by tracking down infected machines on their networks.
The tool is available for Linux, Windows XP FreeBSD and Mac OS X and can be download for free on the link below. There is also a dynamic updating protocol that regularly push new command-and-control rules and other rules just in case the bots get smarter.
