We are now in Web 2.0, which is described to be a Web full of user-generated content. But time will come when such a thing as "Web 3.0" will emerge. It is predicted to be a revolution in artificial intelligence, when machines understand what we input.
At the very heart of this is the semantic web, which uses descriptor languages to make machines sort of "understand" what objects are.
