SSDs by Intel and Hitachi

Hitachi Global Storage Technologies and Intel announced their upcoming collaboration aimed to develop solid state discs (SSDs) for enterprise market.

Intel's NAND flash in its drives will be used the Hitachi and scheduled for release as early as 2010. Serial Attached SCSI and Fibre Channel drives are also being designed for the moment.

The line of product that will be created will be branded and marketed by Hitachi while Intel will continue to to market, develop, and their SATA SSDs.
