Most of the governments exercising freedom and independence on their laws requires a warrant to arrest someone or to search a place but it seems these laws hasn't caught up to the rapid development of our technology.
A post on Full Disclosure Blog, discusses the issues regarding the warrantless search on our gadgets like phone, computer, etc. It was recent incident that fired this issue when a man with suspicious personal details was alerted to the police which immediately confiscated this belongings, including his iPhone that was search.
