Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), the creator of computer processors that rival those of Intel's, said that Intel threatened its ability to create x86 chips, which include's AMD server chips. AMD and Intel has a licensing agreement that will allow AMD to use the x86 architecture.
However, AMD announced its plans to spin out its fabrication plants and reduce costs, something which may violate the license agreement.
