A post suggest that Yahoo is loosing it's original purpose which is to be a reliable search engine. It used to dominate that arena but it has lost the title to Google. It's still continues to be known but differently.
Now, Yahoo is a famous news and entertainment website. Its mail services is also still on the top along with its chat application - Yahoo Messenger.
Yahoo would still be in the search business, as a official said - "Yahoo has been in search , is in search, and will be in search in the future".
